Thames Sailing Barge Lady Daphne

  1. Built in 1923 to carry cargoes of china clay, Portland stone, and grain, Lady Daphne was renowned for her sailing speed as she plied her trade along the English Channel from Cornwall to London. After 50 years trading under sail, she underwent a splendid refurbishment and now continues to work as a passenger charter vessel from her home in St Katharine Docks. Lady Daphne is a great venue for a wide range of events from presentations and meetings to dinners and parties.

  2. Lady Daphne can seat 26 for a seated dinner and can cruise with up to 50 guests. Inside her spacious wooden saloon she comes equipped with a bar and log burning stove, so is perfect for cold winter nights, as well as hot balmy summer evenings up on the deck. When cruising on the Thames, Tower Bridge will open just for you as you cruise beneath it!
