Thames Sailing Barge Lady Daphne Built in 1923 to carry cargoes of china clay, Portland stone, and grain, Lady Daphne was renowned for her sailing speed as she plied her trade along the English Channel from Cornwall to London. After 50 years trading under sail, she underwent a splendid refurbishment and now continues to work as a passenger charter vessel from her home in St Katharine Docks. Lady Daphne is a great venue for a wide range of events from presentations and meetings to dinners and parties. Lady Daphne can seat 26 for a seated dinner and can cruise with up to 50 guests. Inside her spacious wooden saloon she comes equipped with a bar and log burning stove, so is perfect for cold winter nights, as well as hot balmy summer evenings up on the deck. When cruising on the Thames, Tower Bridge will open just for you as you cruise beneath it!

 
Sailing Barge May Built in 1891 in Harwich, May was owned by the flour millers, Cranfield Bros. of Ipswich. Her early life was spent ferrying grain between their mills in Ipswich and the Royal Docks on the Thames. In January 1964 she was bought by Silvertown Services Lighterage, a subsidiary of her present owners, Tate & Lyle. She is now mainly used by the directors of Tate and Lyle and their guests for entertaining from their central London Headquarters which are based on the banks of the Thames. Perfect for summer parties on the river, Sailing Barge May has a wonderful open deck area - ideal for taking in the sights whilst sipping a chilled drink. She has an attractive wood panelled saloon capable of seating up to 40 people for dinner and onboard facilities include a bar, plasma screen, stereo, and PA system. When cruising the Thames opens exclusively for you and your guests!
