Thames Sailing Barge May
-

Built in 1891 in Harwich, May was owned by the flour millers, Cranfield Bros. of Ipswich. Her early life was spent ferrying grain between their mills in Ipswich and the Royal Docks on the Thames. In January 1964 she was bought by Silvertown Services Lighterage, a subsidiary of her present owners, Tate & Lyle. She is now mainly used by the directors of Tate and Lyle and their guests for entertaining from their central London Headquarters which are based on the banks of the Thames.
-

Perfect for summer parties on the river, Sailing Barge May has a wonderful open deck area – ideal for taking in the sights whilst sipping a chilled drink.
She has an attractive wood panelled saloon capable of seating up to 40 people for dinner and onboard facilities include a bar, plasma screen, stereo, and PA system. When cruising the Thames Tower Bridge opens exclusively for you and your guests!
